01Overview
Estradiol is the main estrogen made by the ovaries. In hormone therapy it replaces what the body makes less of around menopause.
This capsule is compounded for you; it is not an FDA-approved product. If you have a uterus, your physician will usually pair estrogen with a progestogen.

06Safety
Important safety information
Estrogens increase the risk of endometrial cancer in women with a uterus who do not also take a progestogen. Estrogen therapy has been linked to a higher risk of stroke, blood clots, heart attack, breast cancer and probable dementia in women over 65.
Use the lowest dose for the shortest time that meets your goals, and report unusual vaginal bleeding, chest pain, leg pain or swelling, or sudden changes in vision or speech. Not for use during pregnancy.
Tell your physician about every condition and medicine before starting, and report any new symptom.
Compounded medications are prepared by state-licensed pharmacies for individual patients. They are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. This page is general information and does not replace a consultation with a licensed physician, who decides whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
